What traditions do you have in your family? The festive season is such a great time to keep traditions going. Enjoying making memories and passing those traditions onto the next generation. From family pyjamas Christmas Eve to carol concerts and decorating the tree, there are loads of amazing things we can enjoy doing together. Let’s run through a couple of festive traditions and see if you can implement them into your next Christmas celebrations.
Christmas Carols
One of the most heart-warming and uplifting Christmas traditions is going Christmas carolling. Get the family out in the cold weather, wrapped up in their big coats and scarves. Go round the community and sing some festive songs on the doorsteps of your neighbours. You could even organise a large scale sing song, maybe in aid of a local charity. It’s even better if it starts to snow!
Family Pyjamas Christmas
Is there anything better than setting down to watch a film on Christmas Eve, with some sweets in your brand new family pyjamas. Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year and enjoy some time with your nearest and dearest is what makes us smile. The kids might fall asleep before they make it to their beds, so make sure you hang your stockings on the fireplace before you start watching the film. Whatever Christmas film you watch is up to you!
Decorating The Tree
Is there anything more festive than decorating the Christmas tree? Do you have an artificial tree or do you go and pick the perfect tree year after year? There’s the excitement of opening all the boxes and find your old decorations that have been passed down from grandparent to grandson. We love stringing the fairy lights outside for all to see as well. If you need new decorations, take a look here.
