At Christmas time, enjoying the season is one of the best things you can do. Taking time with friends and family is how you make memories. What can you get up to during the Christmas season? What festive days out can you enjoy? Let’s have a look at some fantastically merry and wonderfully bright ideas!
Ice Skating
First on our list of festive days out is ice skating. Is there anything quite as fun as ice skating during the festive season? Grab your skates, head to the rink in the middle of town and glide around the ice, hand in hand with your loved ones. The kids can learn to skate by using those push along penguin characters and you can take plenty of photos to capture those memories. Don’t get too cocky with your abilities if you’ve not been on the ice for a while. Nobody wants a show off who ends up breaking their arm! Enjoy an hour of ice skating as some Christmas classic pump out the sound system. Then relax with a hot chocolate and laugh about the experience s you sit amongst the twinkling fairy lights.
Christmas Shopping
Next up on our list of festive days out is Christmas shopping. This is something most of us get up to during the lead up to Christmas Day but it doesn’t have to be a chore. Meeting up with a friend or loved one to hit the shops together can be great fun. Whilst you might not be able to get one or two presents because the person you’re buying them for is with you, it’s great fun to do your Christmas shopping with someone. Stop for a coffee in the middle of the mall, get your Christmas gifts at the best price and take some silly selfies.
Visit Santa
Is there anything better than seeing Father Christmas on one of your festive days out? This is where the magic of Christmas comes from. The winter wonderlands, the elves, the decorations. Asking Santa for a gift at Christmas is such an incredible and integral part of childhood. Be sure to take your camera with you and capture plenty of images of the meeting. Your kids may laugh, they may cry, they might be shy. Its a big deal meeting the big man in the red suit, just roll with it. Find a fantastic and authentic experience that doesn’t cost a lot of cash and enjoy the experience.
There are loads of different idea for festive days out, these are just three. Whatever you love doing in the run up to the Christmas holidays, enjoy doing something you love. Spend time with your loved ones and embrace the joyousness of the season.
